Lewis & Clark Community College receives $16.3 million check for the
National Great Rivers Research and Education Center
On Saturday, September 19, Governor Pat Quinn presented Lewis and Clark Community College and the National Great Rivers Research and Education Center a check for $16.3 million for the Confluence Field Station in Alton. The funds were appropriated as part of the Fy2010 capital bill signed by the Governor. These funds will be used to expand the Center's research capacity, as well as incorporate state-of-the-art, sustainable features into the building, which will make it a model of advanced green construction.
