FY 2012 Adult Education and Family Literacy- Request for Proposal

Adult Education Colleagues,

Due to the continued absence of reauthorization of Title II, the Adult Education and Family Literacy Act, of the federal Workforce Investment Act, the Illinois Community College Board (ICCB) will not issue an open Request for Proposals (RFP) for funding from ICCB for state and federal Adult Education funds for FY2012 (July 1, 2011 - June 30, 2012). The current Adult Education and Family Literacy Act has been extended for another year until the new Act is passed, and ICCB will thus accept only continuation proposals for FY2012 from currently funded programs. Likewise, the ICCB will review and revise the current Adult Education and Family Literacy State Plan to continue through FY2012.

Upon reauthorization of the Workforce Investment Act, including Title II, the general public will be notified of the next open competitive RFP process. Notifications will be posted to the ICCB website at www.iccb.org
