There are approximately 17,500 full-time and part-time faculty employed within the public community college system in Illinois. As an integral part of the community college system, faculty are vitally interested in serving the needs of students at the 48 community colleges located throughout the state.

The goal of this portion of the site is to serve as a gateway to resources that would prove to be beneficial to faculty members throughout the system. Information about conferences, assessment, promoting teaching and learning excellence, and professional development opportunities are some of the areas highlighted in this section. All faculty members at Illinois community colleges are members of the Illinois Community College Faculty Association. The ICCFA serves as an advisory arm to the ICCB on faculty issues which affect community colleges. To learn more, please visit the ICCFA website.
