Illinois State Board of Education
The ISBE site is a reliable place for Illinois teachers to obtain access to information about issues that are relevant to their daily lives in the classroom. The school report cards are available online. A map shows the Regional Office of Education service areas, and calendars list opportunities for professional development workshops. Links help a teacher connect to special programs such as Health/Life Safety, Homeless Education, eLearning, Assistive Technology, etc. Details regarding the TRS and average teachers' salaries in Illinois are housed here. People interested in Paraprofessional certification will find help here. This is a small sampling of the information housed on this site.

Illinois Community College Board
The Illinois Community College Board (ICCB) has been the statewide voice for the Illinois Community College System since its inception in 1965. With offices in Springfield and Chicago, the ICCB works closely with other higher education agencies, the Illinois Legislature, Congress, federal government, and other statewide and national associations to promote the initiatives of the community colleges and higher education.

The IBHE site offers: an interactive map with data about the state universities, information about types of grants and the administration of grants, a student center citing details of financial aid and transferring from one college to another, a technology section with details of the video reservation system and the Illinois Century Network, etc. The site also provides links to current academic issues such as distance learning, Teacher Quality Enhancement, and the Illinois Articulation Initiative. The site posts employment opportunities within the agency and has clickable links for news from the state universities.
