The goals and purposes of this site are to assist you in learning more about educational technology in the classroom. Pre-service teachers throughout Illinois and beyond are learning about and developing technology-enhanced instruction, and the information and activities on this site have been designed to help you — a student interested in a career in teaching — to become familiar with and confident about technology and its classroom uses.

Take some time to explore the site and find out how much technology can improve teaching and learning. If you are new to using some of the technology presented, do not be intimidated. The important thing to do is to develop a desire to learn more. With practice, using technology as a learning tool will become as much second nature as reaching for the telephone, and new technologies will be embraced without hesitation.
