about-why

Technology has become a part of everyday life, in and out of the classroom. You possibly came to college with lots of experience with technology, but it may have been primarily in the areas of personal email, entertainment, and games. This site focuses on practical applications of technology in the classroom.

Teachers of all ages and experience levels must become increasingly adept at using technology as a teaching and learning tool. On this site you will find testimonials from teachers and students illustrating how technology has enhanced the learning process. You will also find numerous links related to using technology in the classroom. Topics covered range from creating rubrics to copyright issues to teacher resources. Another major component of the site is an extensive list of modules that have already been created and implemented in the classroom. In addition, there are many scenarios you can use to help you begin to design your own teaching modules.

As you continue through your teacher preparation program, you will be designing and implementing instruction that encompasses many technology areas. This site is a resource to help you as you begin collecting those items for your portfolios — be they personal, professional, or educational.
