Welcome to the "Student Site"
- your e-handbook of information,
created for students with a vision for
affecting the future through a career
in education. The materials that you
will find here will help you begin to
see through the eyes of an educator.
You will find a wealth of resources
that address issues currently important
to preservice teachers.
Check out the "Resources"
section for web sites and articles that
will assist you with infusing
technology into your teaching as you
begin your career. The "Try It
Yourself" section allows you to begin
to incorporate technology into the
planning of specific lessons. Once you
start your observations and your
practicum teaching, you will want to be
aware of the different ways of
enhancing the teaching and learning
process through the benefits offered by
technology.
The Illinois Community College
Board, in partnership with the Illinois
Board of Higher Education and the
Illinois State Board of Education, is
pleased to present the "Student Site"
as a portion of "Preparing
Technology-Proficient Educators in
Illinois," a project funded in part by
the United States Department of
Education through a "Preparing
Tomorrow's Teachers To Use Technology"
grant. This exciting project serves as
an access point for Illinois educators
to find accurate information about
using technology as an instructional
tool in the classroom.

The Center for Digital Education awarded this PT3 website
