The Illinois Community College Board is the statewide coordinating agency for the Illinois Community College System and the Adult Education System. The colleges and adult education providers are located statewide and enroll more than one million students annually. The Board's administrative offices are located in Springfield and Chicago. Its primary responsibility is to administer the Public Community College Act and to conduct the coordination activities and provide the regulation therein assigned to it. The Board is seeking applicants for the following vacant position(s):
OFFICE SUPPORT ASSOCIATE
The Office Support Associate reports directly to the Associate Director for Finance and Operations. The position will serve as the primary receptionist for the office. Other duties include serving as the clerical/office support for several divisions. This position is covered under the State Universities Civil Service System.
Salary Range: $20,000-$22,900.
ASSISTANT DIRECTOR FOR ASSESSMENT AND TESTING
The Assistant Director for Assessment and Testing reports directly to the Deputy Director for Adult Education and Workforce Development. Under direct supervision, the position will assist with statewide coordination of the high school equivalence testing and student assessment programs. Responsibilities include assisting with the drafting of policy and procedure manuals, reviewing data and preparing reports, and providing technical assistance to the field. This position is covered under the State Universities Civil Service System.
Salary Range: $27,500-$29,750.
APPLICATIONS PROGRAMMER I
The Applications Programmer I will report to the Senior Director for Information Technology. Under direct supervision, the position will be required to code, test and debug programs utilizing programming languages such as COBOL, FORTRAN, SAS, SQL, UNIX, Delphi, Dreamweaver, and ColdFusion. The position must have the ability to execute changes, modifications or enhancements to existing programs and assist staff with other programs and perform programming with predefined instructions. The position is covered under the State Universities Civil Service System.
Salary Range: $27,500-$30,000
