The Illinois Community College Board is the statewide coordinating agency for the Illinois Community College System and the Adult Education System. The colleges and adult education providers are located statewide and enroll more than one million students annually. The Board's administrative offices are located in Springfield and Chicago. Its primary responsibility is to administer the Public Community College Act and to conduct the coordination activities and provide the regulation therein assigned to it. The Board is seeking applicants for the following vacant position(s):
DIRECTOR FOR RESEARCH AND POLICY STUDIES
This position will report to the Senior Director for Research and Policy Studies. Responsibilities include processing data submitted by the colleges in response to periodic or special surveys including log maintenance; accessing computerized data submissions; running edit programs; verifying submissions for completeness, accuracy, and consistency; preparing notifications to colleges regarding any deficiencies; checking final reports; and preparing data transfers to colleges. Experience with SQL and SAS software is desirable. The position is covered under the State Universities Civil Service System.
Salary Range: $43,000-$46,500
APPLICATIONS PROGRAMMER I
The Applications Programmer I will report to the Senior Director for Information Technology. Under direct supervision, the position will be required to code, test and debug programs utilizing programming languages such as COBOL, FORTRAN, SAS, SQL, UNIX, Delphi, Dreamweaver, and ColdFusion. The position must have the ability to execute changes, modifications or enhancements to existing programs and assist staff with other programs and perform programming with predefined instructions. The position is covered under the State Universities Civil Service System.
Salary Range: $27,500-$30,000
ASSISTANT DIRECTOR FOR CAREER & TECHNICAL EDUCATION
The position will report to the Director for Career and Technical Education and will have responsibilities associated with coordination of CTE grants, projects, and activities. Other duties include coordinating and reviewing the grant packages, assisting grantees with guidelines, and participating in the development of new grant programs. The position is covered under the State Universities Civil Service System.
Salary Range: $27,500-$29,750
